Bryce Lovett, a 6-foot-5 and 330-pound 3-star offensive tackle recruit, has announced a commitment to play in the SEC.
Lovett, who is from Rockledge, Florida, is the No. 61 offensive tackle in the class of 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite. He has a reported 15 offers. Lovett’s brother, Zachary, is a linebacker at Missouri. In his announcement on social media, Lovett thanked his mother, high school coaching staff and brother for helping him along the way. Lovett chose the Gators over finalists Iowa State, Missouri, and Louisville. New offensive line coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton recruited Lovett.
“It’s the relationship I have with the new coaching staff and what they are trying to do,” Lovett told Swamp247. “And then they got like five o-line coaches. They are so dedicated to the offensive line, it’s crazy.”
Lovett is the fifth player to commit to Florida in the class of 2023, and the second offensive lineman.
This addition moved the Gators up to No. 30 in the latest 247Sports team recruiting rankings for the class of 2023. The Gators jumped the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Nebraska, Iowa State, Oregon, and Miami on their climb up.
