Johnson is out of Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington. He’s listed at 6-feet, 200 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 5 Washington product, No. 14 quarterback and No. 264 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. Johnson picked the Tigers over 8 other scholarship offers, including Arkansas and 5 schools from the Pac-12.
It has been a good week for Drinkwitz’s staff on the recruiting trail. Mizzou landed a pledge JUCO WR Demariyon Houston on Friday.
With Johnson on board, the Tigers now have 4 commitments for 2023. Johnson’s junior-season highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:

This is an awesome pickup. He has a lot of Brad Smith-esque qualities that I love from the highlight video. He can beat you with his arm, he can beat you with his legs. Welcome to the ZOU!!!
This is a quarterback free for all now. Two running quarterbacks and two throwing Nobodies job is safe doesn’t matter who the opponent is. And Drinkwitz is also getting better receivers. I think we might see traditional Missouri football again sooner than we thought.
And thanks for adding Brad Smith’s name
Sweet!
I am impressed and looking to the future.
How is this dude not a 5 star?
SHHH! Keep your voice down!
His passing looked 4 star alone. Add his scrambling and running ability, he may be 5 star before the end of next season. Real good get.
