South Carolina makes top 5 for 4-star DL, former Michigan commit, out of Virginia
Richmond, Virginia native Joel Starlings has picked up 17 scholarship offers. On Wednesday, he shared that 5 teams have separated themselves from the rest of the pack.
Starlings has South Carolina, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia and West Virginia featured in a top 5 graphic he shared on his Twitter account.

A Benedictine standout, Starlings is listed at 6-5, 310 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Starlings is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 Virginia product, No. 32 defensive lineman and No. 229 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023. Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas A&M are listed among Starling’s scholarship offers.

Man, it’s kind of nice to be in the mix for some of these good players. Every time I see a headline where it mentions ‘SEC schools in the mix’ I try guessing which schools before reading the article. The ones that always come to mind are Bama, A&M and GA.
And I agree. It appears Beamer has changed the culture at SC and the road is tough going but I am excited about possibilities. We shall see.
